Playgrounds (PlayGuard)

PlayGuard is the playground safety surface of choice for restructured and new playgrounds. It features easy installation and maintenance, bold color choices, and the industry’s only 15-year warranty! PlayGuard has consistently led the way in advancing the technology to make rubber playground surfacing safer and more accessible for children of all ages and abilities.

Safety

No playground is complete without safety surfacing to cushion falls and stumbles. Made from Vulcanized Composition Rubber, PlayGuard Tiles are designed exclusively to reduce the risk of serious injury associated with falls from playground equipment.

Ecore reinforces our commitment to safety by being one of the few playground surfacing manufacturers to take its product through the rigorous process of becoming IPEMA™ certified. PlayGuard Safety Surfacing meets the ASTM F1292-13 standard specification for impact attenuation for falls and guidelines established by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. PlayGuard Tiles also meet accessibility requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act and are certified to ASTM F1951-09b, a determination of accessibility of surface systems under and around playground equipment.

Ergonomics

High-impact play does not have to have a negative impact on the body! PlayGuard Tiles are ergonomically designed to support muscles and joints, because they are made from Vulcanized Composition Rubber. As such, PlayGuard tiles can support a wide range of outdoor activities. Balancing exceptional force reduction with enhanced energy restitution, PlayGuard tiles mitigate stress related to hours of play.

Acoustics

Sound and vibration concerns become critical when play areas are incorporated into the envelope of structure, whether on a terrace or rooftop. PlayGuard tiles are uniquely designed to mitigate structure-borne noise between these play areas and internal residential or common spaces. These surfaces help to reduce sound and vibration, making spaces seem quieter.
